WebHR - HR Management App

WebHR automates all of your company's HR processes such as Recruitment, Onboarding, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Leaves & PTO, Performance, and much more. I worked on core modules including Attendance and Performance, contributing to significant user growth and mobile UI improvements. I also developed the complete WebHR website, creating a comprehensive online presence for the platform.

The Website & SEO (2022)

My WebHR journey actually started on the website, not the app. Back in 2022 I built web.hr from scratch - design, frontend, performance - and then spent months on the SEO side of it: page structure, metadata, speed, and content built around what people were actually searching for. It paid off faster than I expected. By January 2023 the site was pulling 9K clicks from Google Search in a single 28-day window, which is still one of my favourite things I've shipped there.

My Contribution

I worked extensively on the WebHR app, focusing on core modules, particularly Attendance and Performance. My contributions included developing and enhancing these critical features from the ground up, implementing robust functionality that handles complex HR workflows. I was responsible for architecting the technical solutions, writing clean and maintainable code, and ensuring seamless integration with the existing system infrastructure. My work involved deep collaboration with the product team to understand user needs, translating requirements into technical specifications, and implementing features that directly addressed pain points in HR management processes. I also played a key role in optimizing the app's performance, reducing load times, and improving overall responsiveness, which significantly enhanced the user experience.

Impact & Results

When I started on these modules the app was sitting at around 3K active users. It's past 12K now and still climbing - roughly +20% month over month, with 7-day retention up 52% over the same window. Most of that came from unglamorous work: fixing the flows people actually used every day, cutting steps out of clocking in and running reviews, and making the app fast enough that people stopped avoiding it. Fewer support complaints, better reviews, and a mobile app that HR teams now treat as the default instead of the fallback.

Mobile UI Development

I contributed to the WebHR mobile UI, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across mobile devices. The focus was on creating a user-friendly interface that makes HR processes more accessible and efficient for employees on the go.
